Network Engineer

Job Summary:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting Cisco LAN, WAN, Datacenter, Wireless and SDWAN networks and working to deliver superior customer support by performing consulting, solutions engineering and technical support. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently or as part of a team to meet critical implementation deadlines and perform troubleshooting of complex networks.
Employment Type: This is a full-time position.
Location: Based in the greater Portland, Maine Area
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience building, managing, and supporting Cisco networks
CCNA, CCNP, and/or other Cisco certifications are desirable.
Experience with Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls, Cisco Catalyst switches & routers, and Meraki ecosystem are desirable.
Experience utilizing routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and MPLS
Experience implementing security technologies such as Access Control Lists, RADIUS, IPSEC, IPS, etc.
Broad knowledge of different LAN and WAN technologies
Solid understanding of Cisco best practices concerning voice and data networks
Able to create and maintain detailed network documentation
Knowledge of data protocols, IT architectures, networking standards and security best practices
Basic Windows and/or Linux skills are a plus
Knowledge and experience with IP-based Collaboration is a plus
Strong personal and team communication skills
Must live local and able to travel to customer sites

IT Service Desk Support Analyst

Job Overview:
As an IT Support member at WGTech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our managed service clients' IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to external users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and monitoring their network systems.
Duties:
Resolve complex computer problems affecting business applications and business end-users. Communicate effectively with users to understand and resolve technical issues promptly.
Test, identify, and troubleshoot problems related to IT issues and escalate as necessary.
Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory, Entra ID and O365.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components such as servers and storage systems.
Install, modify, clean and repair computer hardware and software.
Provide phone support for business end-users.
Maintain detailed IT documentation.
Experience:
Proven track record in a service desk or technical support role.
Minimum 2 years of installing, deploying, and configuring desktop systems for end users.
Basic server administration, including but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory, account setup, file security, and GPOs.
Email system administration & troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange or Office 365.
Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID and\or Intune.
OS Imaging and software deployment experience.
Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Creating and maintaining detailed documentation.
Strong personal and team communication skills.
A college degree in an Information Technology field is preferred.
